Carlos Tevez's proposed £40million move from Manchester City to Brazilian outfit Corinthians

City thought a deal had been agreed for their skipper to get his wish and leave the club, allowing him to go return to South America.
However, with the Brazilian transfer window looming, Corinthians dropped a bombshell on their official website.
"The board of Sporting Club Corinthians hereby officially announce the impossibility of hiring the Argentine striker Carlos Tevez," said the statement.
"While acknowledging the efforts of Manchester City and all involved in the negotiation, more time is needed for the transfer to be achieved, given that the window to sign players from abroad closes on Wednesday, July 20.
"We are aware of the dream our fans had of having this player at Corinthians again and we look forward to him being with us in the near future."
That indicates Corinthians will try to put a deal in place during the January transfer window.
City have yet to make any comment on the collapse of the deal.
Corinthians came out of left field to make their move and this failure will re-open debate about Inter Milan, Real Madrid or Juventus.
Yet, so far, none of these clubs has shown any great desire to snap up the joint Golden Boot-winner.
Corinthians' response to City's demand for a proper payment schedule was perhaps a sign the transfer would not have gone smoothly even if it had gone through.
It leaves Tevez, back home after Argentina's Copa America exit, to contemplate his fate, knowing City are keen to lure fellow countryman Sergio Aguero to the club and provide even more competition for places.

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) is the body that writes the rules of competition for most high school sports and activities in the United States. Most high schools, whether public or private, belong to their state's high school association; in turn, each state association belongs to the NFHS. Over 17,000 high schools belong to associations that are members of the NFHS. NFHS's headquarters are located in White River State Park in Indianapolis, Indiana.[1]
However, in states that have separate associations for public and non-public high schools, only the public-school bodies are NFHS members. For example, the Texas University Interscholastic League (public schools, with non-public schools generally not allowed) is a member, while the associations governing non-public schools, the largest of which is the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools, are not. Similarly, the Virginia High School League, open only to public schools, is a member, while the state's parallel associations for non-public schools are not. The same is the case in Mississippi, where the body governing public schools is a member, while the body governing private schools is not.
Iowa has separate governing associations for boys' and girls' sports – the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Only the Iowa High School Athletic Association is a full member of the NFHS; the girls' governing body is an affiliate member.
The NFHS publishes rules books for each sport or activity, and most states adopt those rules wholly for state high school competition.
The NFHS offered an online Coach Education Program in January 2007. It released a course, Fundamentals of Coaching. The NFHS has announced that it will offer a National Coach Certification in September 2009. This will enable to coaches to become a Level 1 - Accredited Interscholastic Coach issued by the NFHS.[2]

N'Zogbia: Bramble believes he would be a big hit on Wearside

Sky Bet

Titus Bramble is still hoping to be reunited with Charles N'Zogbia at Sunderland.

The Black Cats defender and N'Zogbia were team-mates atNewcastle and Wigan, and the pair could team up again this summer.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce had targeted N'Zogbia before ruling out a move for the French winger, saying the deal became "too rich" for the club.
But hope of N'Zogbia coming to Wearside remains a possibility after a proposed move to Aston Villastalled this week after Wigan rejected their offer.
It is unclear if any of N'Zogbia's suitors can meet both Wigan's asking price and his wage demands, butBramble is confident his former team-mate would welcome a switch to the Stadium of Light.
"I have spoken to Charles a few times this summer," he told the Journal.

Fantastic move

"When I spoke to him last year, he said it would be a fantastic move for him.
"Whether it materialises for him or not, I don't know - but you never know in football.
"I think the players would love him here, the fans would love him to be here, but it's out of our hands.
"We want as many fantastic players as we can here. He's a fantastic player and he would be great for this club."
